The Virtual
Underwriter is a tremendously successful breakthrough electronic

conveyancing which adds quality and speed to the title insuring process. Eureka
Publishing worked with Landata Systems (a subsidiary of Stewart Title
Guaranty Company) to develop the look and feel as well as the automated
process to create more than 100,000 hypertext links in the Virtual
Underwriter.
The product replaces more than 1,500 forms and 700 bulletins that
would otherwise appear in more than 6,500 printed pages. Kevin
Thomas, Chief Legal Counsel for The Alliance Group stated: “The Virtual
Underwriter is the unquestionable state-of-the-art product for
providing underwriting information. There’s
nothing comparable in the marketplace anywhere that combines the breadth
of the information and the extreme ease of use.” “By
making the Virtual
Underwriter available on the Web, we are making it easier for our
customers to access the information that assists them in closing their
transactions quicker. This
provides a competitive edge for both our customers and for Stewart Title
Guaranty Company,” said Mike Skalka, Senior Vice President and General
Counsel at Stewart Title Guaranty Company. “We
are pleased to have helped Stewart Title make the Virtual
Underwriter available on the Internet.
The Virtual
Underwriter has provided benefits to its users in its CD-ROM format
and now the Internet version will provide additional value by being
available on the World Wide Web,” said Mark Mathias, president of Eureka
